This is an 8-day wildebeest migration tour of Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara lodge safaris. The safari will take you around the best places in Tanzania, visiting places such as Lake Manyara which is famous for its tree-climbing lions, the Ngorongoro Crater which is known also as the Garden of Eden, Serengeti National Park, Tarangire National Park and a chance to see the great wildebeest migration while crossing Mara River.

Day 1: Pick up from the Airport
We will pick you up from the airport, where our driver will warmly welcome you and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Here, you will have the chance to unwind, relax, and prepare for the thrilling adventures ahead.

On your first day, you'll embark on an exciting city tour, taking in the sights of Arusha. The tour includes visits to local markets, the vibrant Maasai market, the Cultural Heritage Centre, and the Arusha City Museum.

In the evening, you will receive a comprehensive briefing about your upcoming tour. You will also have the option to explore Arusha city further and enjoy a stunning sunset view.
Day 2:Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Along the journey, you will pass by beautiful Maasai Villages and the open plain that becomes synonymous with images of Tanzania.
Tarangire River provides a regular visit of large herds of elephants as well as other wildlife such as Zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, and warthogs, famously known as Pumba in the famous Lion King Movie, which was partly filmed in the great Serengeti plains.
A picnic lunch with a spectacular view of the Tarangire River is a great way to suck it all in. You will need to have a sharp eye to keep your lunch away from the local monkeys.
Later on, you'll take a deeper dive into the wild and have an opportunity to see lions, leopards, Cape buffalo, and a large variety of antelopes. And if luck is on your side, you might even spot endangered animals such as the eared oryx and the Great Kudu.
After a spectacular day in Tarangire, you will retire to your selected accommodation for dinner and a good night's sleep.
Day 3:Serengeti
National Park NP
You'll depart to Serengeti National Park from Arusha via Ngorongoro crater while enjoying a game drive en route to Serengeti National Park. Once in Serengeti, you will be amazed by a spectacular view while enjoying a picnic lunch on a small hill in an overall flat area.
Maasai boma visit: Get close to the Maasai community by visiting the famous Maasai bomas, participating in traditional Maasai dance, a walk in the Maasai village culture, well known for hunting lions to be considered a warrior, drinking raw cow blood, though these traditions are things of the past, except for drinking blood. Some souvenir shopping at the local Maasai market will be at your disposal.
After lunch at the picnic area, it’s now time to explore the endless plains of Serengeti. You will be amazed by the wide range of animals that wander Africa's iconic savannah landscape.
You'll have dinner and an overnight stay in the center of Serengeti National Park with the quality of accommodation requested.
Day 4:Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti National Park (Kogatende)
On this day, you will wake up early morning and have your full breakfast. Then, you will start your game drive inside Serengeti. Our driver will drive you to Northern Serengeti to the key areas where you will observe the mass movement of the wildebeest and all the drama it entails. We’d recommend the flash-points of the Mara River and the Ndutu Plains. River crossings at Kogatende start in July as the mega herd settles into the area. Between July to October, wildlife viewing is at its best with river crossings pretty much guaranteed every day. There is no distinct movement as the herds tend to cross back and forth over the river, following the rains and subsequent fresh grasses. Thus, these are the best months to see the migration in the western region of Serengeti. From August to September, you can see the great migration in northern Serengeti.
After the full-day game drive, you will have your delicious dinner and an overnight stay at Budget Camping Site.
Day 5: Serengeti NP
On this day, you will wake up early morning and have your full breakfast. Then, you will start your game drive inside Serengeti. As you will have a full day in Serengeti, our driver will drive you to the key areas in Serengeti. We will make sure that you will follow the wildebeest migration. The great migration varies every year. The best time to see it is from June up to September while the wildebeest calving is from January to March. Our driver will take you to northern Serengeti where you will be able to see the great wildebeest migration crossing the Mara River. A million and a half of these majestic animals travel throughout the year as they look for fresh grazing pasture and follow the rainfall for better water sources.
After your full-day game drive, you will head back to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay at Budget Camping Site.
Day 6: Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater
On this day, you will wake up at 5:45 am for an early breakfast and see the sunrise inside Serengeti. After your breakfast, you will be heading for an early morning game drive up to 11:30 am. Thereafter, you will head back to the campsite for the hot lunch and pack your stuff in the jeep. After finishing your hot lunch, you will proceed with a game drive in Serengeti while heading to Ngorongoro Crater in Ngorongoro Simba Camp, where a delicious dinner awaits.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour then Karatu
You will wake up around 5:30 am for your breakfast. After breakfast, you will descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor where you will able to see all the Big Five. Also, you will see different types of birds and black rhinos available inside the crater. You'll continue your journey to the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, where you'll witness an incredible array of wildlife in one of the most unique natural landscapes on Earth. On this day, you will have your lunch inside the crater while watching nature and high concentrations of flamingos. Later after 6 to 7 hours of game drive inside the crater floor, you will start to ascend from the crater to Ngedere Lodges & Camps for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Lake Manyara tour then Arusha or Airport
After your breakfast, you will head to Lake Manyara for a full-day game drive. Inside the park, you will be able to see tree-climbing lions and a lot of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake and you will visit a hot spring. Also, on the same day, you will visit Maasai Boma, where you will see how they live and learn their culture and traditions. Later, you'll drive back to Arusha and straight to the airport or to your accommodation.
